Définitions.


“A Tiny Silence” or “the Editor” means “A Tiny Silence”, Simplified Joint Stock Company with a capital of 200 euros, registered in the Narbonne Trade and Company Register under No. 216 455 88 77 and whose registered office is located 140 rue du Moulinas, Nefs des Sables 25K4, 11370 Leucate, France.

“Website” or websites means the Editor’s website or websites accessible at https://atinysilence.com and http://tinnitus-treatments.com

“Application” means the application developped by the Editor.

“Content” means the content of the Website and / or the Application.

“User” means the individual(s) who uses The Website and / or the Application.

“User Account” means the account created when a User registers.

“Personal Data” means personal information that identifies the User.

 

Personal Data.

Personal Data is collected and processed by the Editor in accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation No. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, known as “GDPR”, (the “Applicable Regulation”).

The Personal Data collected are, when creating a User Account:

  • frequency of tinnitus as selected by the User,
  • user name,
  • access code,
  • email address,
  • date and time of creation.

 

Use.

Personal data may only used by the Editor for the purposes of:

  • Personalized identification of tinnitus.
  • Creation and management of the User Account.
  • Provision of personalized services.
  • Access to the Website and the Application and fight against intrusion and misuse.
  • Sending the User commercial information and / or  a newsletter.
  • Notifications to the User of changes to the Website, the Application, the Content and/or the Privacy Policy and the General Terms and Conditions..
  • Statistical analyses aimed at improving the Content.

 

Rights of the User.

In accordance with the Applicable Regulations, the User may at any time exercise his right to:

  • object to the receipt of the newsletter and/or commercial offers from the Publisher.
  • access and/or obtain the rectification or erasure of Personal Data.
  • obtain the deletion of its User Account.

In order to preserve the security and confidentiality of Personal Data, this request must be accompanied by proof of identity. The credential will be destroyed once the request is processed.

In the event of unfounded or excessive requests, in particular because of their repetitive nature, the Editor reserves the right to invoice or not act on any request from a User subsequent to a request duly satisfied by the Editor and relating to the same subject matter.

 

Recipients.

The Personal Data provided upon subscription by the User will be used only by the Editor and will not be the subject of any commercial use or sale or transfer to third parties.

 

Conservation.

The Editor will retain the Personal Data for three (3) years from the date of subscription, unless it is necessary to comply with any legal, regulatory, accounting or tax obligation to keep the Personal Data and may, where appropriate, keep them in anonymised form.

 

Security.

The Editor implements all organizational, software, legal, technical and physical means to ensure the confidentiality and security of Personal Data, in order to prevent their damage, erasure or access by unauthorised third parties.

 

Subcontracting.

The data collected may be communicated to subcontractors contractually responsible for certain tasks. In the performance of their services, the subcontractors have only limited access to the Personal Data and have a contractual obligation to use them in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation on the protection of Personal Data.

 

Portability / Reversibility.

In accordance with the Applicable Regulations, and subject to providing proof of identity, the User may obtain the reversibility of his Personal Data free of charge by notifying the Editor by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.
The Personal Data will be returned in the form of a standard computer file which will be sent by email to the User within a maximum of thirty (30) days from the request.

 

Derived data.

In accordance with the Applicable Regulations, the User is informed that Personal Data that are derived, calculated or created by the Editor from the data provided by the User are excluded from the right to portability, insofar as they are not provided by the User, but created by the Editor.

 

Transfer.

Personal Data is processed and stored in the European Union.

How to use the player

First be sure to place yourself in a quiet environment.

Use a headphone; you should only hear your tinnitus and the frequency test.

Play the synthesizer ( PLAY / PAUSE) and adjust the volume to your convenience – ideally at the same level as the perception of your tinnitus.

In the case where you would have several tinnitus, focus on the one you most perceive.

Then vary the frequency using the previous / next arrows, until you find the frequency that best matches your tinnitus.

Do not hesitate to pause / play the sound in order to compare better.

Take your time to be as sure as possible.

Frequency range of the tool goes from 78Hz (D#1) up to 9956Hz (D#8).
The frequency area covered represents 7 octaves.
